Brain manual

This page mostly functions as a reminder for myself for when I am feeling bad. A lot of it sounds very obvious, but hopefully having it all written down will help me haul myself out of the pit when necessary.

Things that will probably make me feel better

Try doing one of these:

  • Going for a walk
  • Reading a book
  • Eating a proper meal
  • Drinking a nice cup of tea
  • Listening to music
  • Having a little dance in the kitchen
  • Taking a shower
  • Putting on clean clothes (ideally cute ones but we can't be too picky)
  • Journaling
  • Stretching
  • Watching a quality film

Things that will probably make me feel worse

If I am doing these things (and chances are I am) then it's probably a good idea to stop:

  • Doomscrolling or clicking around the same three sites again and again
  • Shitposting on Discord, etc
  • Staying up too late
