📓 Writing an urban fantasy romance about witchcraft, finding your voice and the 90s.
This is my first properly committed attempt to write a novel. It's set in the 90s, partly because I wanted to avoid writing extensive text message conversations and partly because I really wanted an excuse for a character to say "It's the 90s". It's also intended to be the first of a trilogy.
I finished the first draft in the summer, but decided it needed a substantial amount of rewrites to fix some structural and character arc issues. I've made a start on fixing those, but that necessitated fully re-outlining it.
Currently on pause so I don't totally burn myself out on it.
